The Skipper's property is a very special place in Edmonds and would make a wonderful bakey. Imagine having fresh Cinnamon rolls while waiting to board the fery. There would have to be a selction to make the bakery concept work; with raisins, without raisins, with cream cheese frosting and of course without.
Throw in some fresh brewed coffee and the city of Edmonds could have a whole new way of earning money!

That does sound a whole lot better than what was being proposed a "Jack in Box" fast food restaurant.

Buy the property Larry your business concept makes sense. Besides you're not asking for 75ft Building Height. Edmonds needs more lattes to keep our Mayor and City Staff from sleeping on the job! Besides this address would keep them out of City Hall for a greater duration of time. You know less work time means less screw-ups.

Larry, you could be the Savior of our "small-town" character and charm!

Sorry Tupper, there is nothing better than a Jumbo Jack at 1 am as the bars are geting ready to close! I think a Jack N Box across from the bar is a GRAND idea!

Lighthouse Law Group's inferior legal representation

 Email to Jeff Taraday  PROVIDED FOR THE RECORD:   In Washington State there can be only one open public hearing.   The Hearing Examiner had 10 working days to make a decision. Any extension of that time requirement requires agreement from the applicant and the parties. Uniquely, the Edmonds City Code requires agreement from all parties. I testified at the hearing and was not asked to participate in this extension or provide any further testimony. In fact, my participation has been excluded because of the one open meeting. If there have been communications between the Hearing Examiner and the Applicant those communication would  be ex parte and needed to be provided to me.    Mr. Clugston testified that traditionally the Planning Staff posts the Agenda and Staff report at the Civic Center and Library. Edmonds City Attorney Edmonds Code 2.05

Somebody other than City Attorney Taraday should review the proposed Council Rules of Procedures and update to the Council Code of Conduct: Chapter 2.05 of the Edmonds City Code can be printed out on  1 piece of paper using a normal sized font .   I would expect all City Attorney candidates to read and comply with Chapter 2.05.  I would hope City Attorney candidates would make sure their proposals are consistent with the City’s laws and ordinances. I would hope all elected officials would require such. If City Attorneys don’t comply with the Code Section that specifically deals with them, why have confidence that they will comply with any part of the ECC or ECDC? I would expect City Attorney candidates to ask for clarity regarding ECC 2.05.020.B.3 which incredibly states the following: Attend all regular and work meetings of the planning advisory board of the city of Edmonds as requested.
